The date is set. The venue is chosen, and – ah with a contented sigh- you’ve found THE DRESS and it’s perfect! Well, almost. It will be perfect once you’ve bound yourself in constricting and complicated shapeware so that you can smooth out even the slightest of bulges that suddenly seem enormous in your beautiful new dress. If rib cage crushing, breath restricting, skin digging underwear doesn’t scream “happiest day of your life”, it might be time to check out your alternatives. We took a few minutes to talk to Robbie Spence, Director of SlimStudio Atlanta about CoolSculpting.
Where does it work?
Many brides have form fitting dresses, so sleek silhouettes are important to them. CoolSculpting is especially helpful for any areas that are prone to bulges; abdomen, love handles, inner and outer thighs, and arms. CoolSculpting is even effective on the chin area, which helps a bride have a picture-perfect profile for her big day.
Beauty is pain?
CoolSculpting can handle problem areas the gym can’t fix, but does it hurt? According to Robbie, one of the biggest misconceptions about CoolSculpting is that it’s very painful, but she says it’s more of a “mild discomfort.” “At about 7 or 8 minutes into the treatment, the area goes numb, so you don’t feel anything for the bulk of the treatment time.”
Planning is essential
CoolSculpting is a low pain, non-surgical and effective procedure, but it doesn’t work overnight. “If you come in 2 weeks before your wedding, you’re not going to see a change.” says Robbie. Real results start to become visible around week 4, but full results aren’t seen until 12 weeks. Some areas are so stubborn, (we’re talking about you, saddlebags) that multiple treatments are needed, but you need a 30-day resting period before re-treating the same area. Give yourself plenty of time so you can get the results you want.
SlimStudio Atlanta also shares a location with two other bastions of beauty; Lux Med Spa, which provides services such as Botox, fillers, laser hair removal, chemical peels, and massages, and a full-service plastic surgery office lead by medial director, board certified, Dr. Alan N.
